this was the regular scene in front of our camp. the tides are extreme in san felipe. at night the water would be an easy 100 yards out from the morning shore line. so the fishermen use 4wd trucks to haul the boats in or launch them. next to our camp was an area where the fishermen sold their shrimp right on the beach to a purveyor. it was fun to watch them haul the catch in, have it weighed and sometimes it was auctioned off right there.
